Shree Krishnan's list of temples is a mini whos' who

of our Gods in its various forms and moods.

 

The list is inconclusive even with respect to the

areas it has covered. Still the number is amazingly

large.Few of them are eminent and famous too.

 

I am sure at all those temples pujas must be conducted

regularly, punctually and strictly following the

rituals set by the sastras.

 

With so much of mantra/japam power transmitted to the

environment are we still missing something more to be

done from the people/bhakthas side to derive more

health, wealth , happiness and long life?

What are the possible actions

(mental/physical/intellectual)one must be lacking ?

 

Kerala deserve a better state of existence. Any

thoughts...?

Dear Sri.Balagopal,

Your question though pragmatic is in a way can be answered only in a negative aspect.In our country there are temples in all States in some states it runs into thousands and confining to their existence in Kerala alone goes aginst the principle of Loko samastha sukhino bhavandu,Vasudeva Kudambam which we shout from house tops as Kerala is only a very tiny state.

There are temples galore in every nook and corner famous and not so famous and not known exist in all parts of Kerala.It can't be verified whether all the temple deities receive the proper poojas and the priests who do poojas are qualified people and learned in mantra sastra.Of course in famous temples like Guruvayoor,Sabarimala,the temples at Vaikom,Ernakulam,Tripunithura,Chottanikkara and many others in the state have some well defined principles to conduct the poojas and the priests are supposed to be adepts in mantra and tantra sastras,They are suposed to follow some basics in dong poojas and there culd be some vibrations sent to the etheric atmosphere.It is said all our thoughts whether positive or negative wade thru the etheric atmosphere and the more of such thoughts whether plus or minus such alone prevails.So just by mantra japas which are sent to the atmosphere alone can't bring in any desired effects except to the immediate surroundings of the temples.Further

the greed for moneyis the greatest enemy even in famous temples and the chief priests give more importance to people who offer money they give prasad in big leaves withall the ingredients like kumkum,sandal,flowersetc.People who just show their hands are given something or asked to get the prasad from couners outside.If some VIPs come the ordinay people are put to sufferings as without darsans these lesser souls can't hv darsan of their deity.So the atmosphere gets vitiated.Then criminals hv become bold now adays they are prepared even to steal the idols.ornaments,hundi collections by breakng the temples.As it so happens now a days going to temples hv become some type of picnic without any real bhakthy in the heart,I don't mean all are like that,but a majority of the temple goers are like that. they just go as a type of walk if the temples are near their homes and routinely say something and come back.They just imagine by giving some vazhipadu in the temples all their problems will

be solved.Thus all these go against the laws of nature.Further the indiscriminate felling of trees which are necessary for gud rains,taking sand from rivers which make huge holes and thereby arres the smoth flow of waterfor construction of multi storied buildings ,adulterated foods to make some fast money which only affect the system of the people who consume such things,and eversomany malpractices,lack of cleanliness,pollution without bothering abt the environment all these are resposible for the woes and miseries.We also witness everso many happenings in the political field and the human nature on the whole has undergone into such a massive negative aspects and to expect the vibrations sent thru mantrajapas from the temples can hv any impact as the negative thoughts just suppress the postive factors.

Right or wrong this is what in effect takes place.

 

So to expect the vibrations that emanate from mantras from temples can act as the panacea for the mseries of all is too much to expect as people hv gone against the laws of nature.So mantra powers from temples can hv some effect if we are in the temple atmosphere and just vanishes when we come out.Then what is the alternative?One has to do japa in one's own place with dedication,try to lead a way that is righteous,try to help wherever possible according to one's capacity,not to harm others,inculcate the gud virtues by avoiding jealousy,greed,anger and such things and one's duty and hv absolute faith and surrender to God so that he and his family can be saved.If all individuals do like that the desires expressed can be realised to certain extent.

 

I don't know whether my thoughts are correct or not but this is what I feel.I don't thing my comments will hv some negative thought on you Balagopal.

ancient musical

 

instruments played in siva temples? a detailed list of names along with the

picture and the
