Guest guest Posted July 7, 2005 Report Share Posted July 7, 2005 Security beefed up at Guruvayur Thursday July 7 2005 12:08 IST GURUVAYUR: The police have beefed up security at the Sree Krishna Temple here from Tuesday night in the wake of the terrorist attack on Ayodhya Temple. Armed men are guarding the temple round the clock and metal detectors are also being used at all entry gates for checking devotees entering the temple. Security has been tightened on account of the alert sounded, but there is no reason to panic, DIG Revatha Chandrasekhar told this website's newspaper. Devotees will not have to face any hardship, the DIG added. For security reasons, bags, umbrella, electronic equipment, mobile phones etc have been strictly restricted inside the temple, said Devaswom administrator K.Anil Kumar.
