Guest guest Posted August 6, 2005 Report Share Posted August 6, 2005 Dear Sunita, The prelude to VS is nicely portrayed.Though there are commentaries by Sankara and Bhatta, normally the one by Sankara is followed by lot of people. Sankara though preached adavita,as he was well aware that course would be difficult for all to follow and hence for the common people he advocated 6 different types of poojas etc for six deities and also made lot of hymns in favour of those deities.
