This month is observed with lot of faith; people fast/pray regularly/perform special poojas with Mondays (Shraavan Somwar) and Fridays (Shraavan Shukrawar) being of special significance. Praying to Lord Shiva on these Mondays and the Devi on Fridays is observed unfailingly by a vast majority of Maharashtrians. Outlined above in the 4 slokas are the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva throughout India. Even remembering these holy places is said to destroy all sins. May the kind hearted Lord bless us all with ayur-aarogya-soukhyam.
