GuruvayurDevaswom share the I-Day celebrations with pachyderms

GURUVAYUR: Guruvayur Devaswom celebrated Independence Day on Monday

with Chairman, K V Nambiar hoisting the national flag at the devaswom

office.

 

Municipal council members N K Sudheer hoisted the flag at Sreevalsam, R

Rajasekharan at Panchajanyam and Muttar P N P Panicker at Kousthubham.

 

At the special function held at Punnathoor Anakotta, administrator K

Anil Kumar hoisted the flag and distributed sweets to the mahouts and

elephants.

 

Meanwhile, thousands thronged the temple on Monday. The queues for

entry into the temple were extended up to the main road in the morning.
