" Bhaje Vrajeika-mandanam, samasta paapa-khandanam

sva-bhakta chitta-ranjanam, sadeiv Nanda-nandanam

supiccha-guccha-mastakam, sunaada-venu-hastakam

ananga-ranga-saagaram, namaami Krushna-naagaram

 

Manoja-garva-mochanam, vishaala-lola-lochanam

vidhoota-gopa-shochanam, namaami padma-lochanam,

karaara-vinda-bhoodharam, smitaava-loka-sundaram,

Mahendra-maana-daaranam, namaami Krushna-vaaranam

 

Kadamba-soona kundalam, sucharu-ganda-mandalam,

vrajaanga-naika-Vallabham, namaami Krushna-durlabham,

Yashodaya samodayaa, sagopaya-sanandaya,

yutam sukhaika daayakam, namaami Gopa-naayakam

 

sadaiva paada Pankajam, madeeya-maanase nijam

dadhaana-mutta maalakam, namaami Nanda baalakam,

samasta-dosha shoshanam, samasta loka-poshanam

samasta-Gopa-maanasam, namaami Nanda-Laalasam

 

Bhuvo-bharaava taarakam, bhavaabdhi-karna-dhaarakam

Yashomatee-Kishorakam, namaami chittaa-chorakam

draganta-kaanta-bhanginam, sadaa sadaala-sanginam

dine dine navam navam, namaami Nanda-sambhavam

 

gunaa-karam, sukhaa-karam, krupaa-karam krupaa-param

surad-vishan-nikandanam, namaami Gopa-Nandanam,

naveena-Gopa-naagaram, naveena-keli-lampatam

namaami megha sundaram, tadit-prabhaala-sat-patam

 

samasta-Gopa-Nandanam, hrudambu-jaika-modanam

namaami kunja-madhyagam, prasanna-bhaanu-shobhanam

nikaama-kaama-daa-yakam, draganta chaaru-saayakam

rasaala-venu-gaayakam, namaami kunja-naayakam

 

vidagdha-gopika-mano, manognya-talpa-shaayinam

namaami kunja-kaanane, pravruddha-vahni-paayinam

yadaa tadaa, yatha tathaa, tatheiva Krushna sat-kathaa

mayaa sadeiv geeya-taam, tatha krupaa vidheeya-taam

pramaanikaa-shtaka-dwayam, japatya-dhitya yah pumaan

bhavetsa Nanda-Nandane, bhave bhave subhakti-maan! "

 

 

I worship the jewel of Vraj-bhoomi, the destroyer of

all sins, one who gladdens the hearts of His

devotees!I bow to Him who has the beautiful peacock

feather on His forehead, the melodious flute in His

hands, the Ocean of all arts!

 

One who humbled Kama-dev, has big and beautiful eyes,

destroyed the sorrows of the gopis, lifted the

Govardhan, has an enchanting smile, humbled Indra, Him

I worship!

 

One who wears the Kadamba-flowers in his ears, has

beautiful cheeks, the sole support of the gopas, I

worship such a precious/rare Krishna! One who is

happy, united with Yashoda along with the Gopas and

Nanda, the sole giver of bliss, I worship that leader

and nourisher of gopas !

 

One whose feet find place in the ocean of my heart,

one with very beautiful hair, I worship Him. The

destroyer of all vices, the provider for all beings,

and the sweetheart of the Gopas and Nanda, Him I

worship!

 

One who bears the burden of the earth, the boatman of

this Ocean of life, Him I worship! One with very

beautiful glances, always bearing beautiful ornaments,

ever youthful child of Nanda, Him I worship!

 

Treasury of all virtues, ocean of peace, compassionate

and merciful, destroyer of enemies, I worship Him! Him

who is ever coming up with novel plays, dark like the

rain-cloud, wearing the beautiful yellow(pitambar)

garment, Him I worship!

 

Giver of happiness to all gopis, one who gladdens

hearts, lustrous like the Sun, I bow to Him! One who

fulfils desires, who plays the flute and produces

melodious music, Him I worship!

 

One who resides in the tender bed that is the heart of

the Gopis,quenches the fire in the Kunjavan, Him I

worship! May He bless me with His grace, that no

matter what the circumstance I will always sing His

praises! One who sings these ashtakas, will be for

ever and ever blessed with devotion to that

NandaKishoraa!
