Guest guest
My Dear Devotees: As I prepare to leave to Guruvayoor, many friends in the U.S have given me currency in U.S. dollar bills to be donated at Guruvayoor. I want to put these exact dollar bills in the hundi at Guruvayoor. Does the Guruvayoor Dewasom accept dollar bills, or should I change them and make donations in Indian Rupees? Thanks for your advice. Sri Krishnaaya Parabrahmane Namaha. Narasimhan Nagan
Guest guest
-Narasimhan, May Guruvayoorappan blessyou and your family. and when u visit Guruvayoor ensure u also visit Mammiyoor. The best way is to hand over the donations to the GVR Administrator by way of personal check; either in US currency or Indian rupees. They accept both. I do not think it is advisable to handle dollar bills. You may also deposit Rupee bills in tje Bhandaraaaam. Or would you like to convert the money into one super gold ornament and lay it at the lotus feet of Lord Guruvayoorappan? There are hundreds of ways to please the Lord. Wish you a safe journey. Believe in the Lord and He will take care of the rest. Bhagavan loves His devotees. Guest guest
Narasimhan, Have a safe and good trip. As it is the onset of Onam, I suggest you to give some Onam 'kazhcha' (special gifts) to Guruvayoorappan with the money. It can be Onam special bananas or 'sharkara upperi' etc. Please try to give a very small gift on behalf of 'World Guruvayoor Devotees Family', if possible! Try to meet the temple administrator if your time permits and convey our group's regards and tell them we are eager to help in whatever way possible. Use the name as 'World Guruvayoor Devotees Family'. Please pray for the list memebers and for the entire world when you are in the Bhooloka Vaikundam. May God bless you and wishing you a great trip to India and Guruvayoor.
