Guest guest Posted September 5, 2005 Report Share Posted September 5, 2005 Stone to be laid for thulabharam counter on Monday Monday September 5 2005 13:01 IST GURUVAYUR: The construction work of the new agrasala and thulabharam counters at the east gopuram of the Sree Krishna temple here will begin on Monday. Temple tantri Chennas Raman Namboothiripad will perform the rituals and lay the foundation stone in the afternoon. Navaratnas, gold, silver, coins and prasadam of Guruvayurappan will be placed along with the stone during the `silasthapanam.' The thulabharam counter complex will have an additional building for providing `annaprasam' for babies and a retiring room for nursing mothers and children. The new complex is an offering to the Lord by a Bangalore-based woman and Rs 1 crore for the initial expenses has been deposited by her. The total cost of the complex is estimated at Rs 1.44 crore.
