Guest guest
Hari-Om There is no fixed time or place for remembering the Almighty. We can praise the Lord's name or hear His praises any time, anywhere whether day or night. The Santi sloka in the Upanishad sets out the relation of the Individual soul to the Supreme Spirit. 'The Self that functions within us is of divine origin. It is of the same substance as the Supreme Spirit.' In the Twelfth Teaching of the Bhagavad-Gita; Lord Krishna said: " Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshipping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect. " =His Divine Grace Sri Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada explains further as follows: " In answer to Arjuna's question, Krishna clearly says that he who concentrates upon His personal form and who worships Him with faith and devotion is to be considered most perfect in yoga. For one in such Krishna consciousness , there are no material activities, because everything is done for Krishna. A pure devotee is constantly engaged. Sometimes he chants, sometimes he hears or reads books about Krishna, or sometimes he cooks prasadam or goes to the marketplace to purchase something for Krishna or sometimes he washes the temple or the dishes - whatever he does, he does not let a single moment pass without devoting his activities to Krishna! Such action is pure Bhakti. " = Jai Shree Krishna ! guruvayur , jayamol vijay <jayamolvijay> wrote: > > OM NAMO NARAYANAYA > I used to listen mantras and vedic chants when ever i get time or other wise when i do house works or in kitchen. What is bothering me now, is it appropriate or not?listening these mantras or chants irrespective of time or rituals could bring bad effects or not. > I hope one of you could help me > > > > thank you > > > > > India Matrimony: Find your partner now. >
