Mudrika Foundation in association with Nandaki Systems announces the

inaugural " Aanandaa " festival bringing you pristine classical Music

and Dance from some of the eminent performers across the country.

This festival is being held during November 11 – 13, 2005 at the

Ambedkar Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar, Bangalore. We believe that this

festival will become a tradition in the years to come providing an

opportunity for Performers, Aspirants and Connoisseurs to come

together to experience the eternal bliss or Aanandaa emerging from

the purity of sound and movements that is showcased in our ancient

Indian traditions of fine arts.

This festival is an occasion to also begin another journey towards

the goal of setting up of a holistic institution in Bangalore along

the lines of Kalakshetra in Chennai founded by Late. Smt. Rukmini

Devi Arundale. The intent is to reach and create an audience who

can appreciate Indian Performing Arts not just as an entertainment,

but as a means to create a spiritual context to life. Especially,

the young impressionable minds would be targeted to advocate that it

is " cool " to appreciate and participate in Indian Performing Arts.

Following is the Festival Agenda:

Nov 11, 2005 (18:00 - 21:30): Violin Trio Concert by Naadayogi Prof.

V V Subrahmanyam with V V Ravi and V V S Murari; accompanied on the

Mrudangam by Sangeetha Kalanidhi & Padmabhushan Shri. Umayalpuram K.

Shri. B S Purushottam.
