Guest guest
Dear Devotee members, Plenty of email attachment viruses are going around the last few days. Today I noticed that some of our member's computers are also infected as they are sending out virus attachments to the group. As a precautionary measure, I am disabling file attachment option for all emails to our group. This way we can avoid any viruse attachments spreading through our group. Please do not send any attachment (pictures or documents or HTML news) until we remove this resticrion. I strogly advice everyone to have the latest virus protection software in your PCs to avoid these viruses spoling your days. Viruses often piggyback on an e-mail message, so it's best not to open messages from unknown sources. Never open an attachment you weren't expecting, even from someone you know -- cyber thugs can make an e-mail's return address look familiar. Read all messages in text-only format if possible, not in HTML or rich-text format, and turn off the preview pane in your in-box. Viewing certain attachments in this window -- even without opening them -- may be enough to launch their attack. Scan all attachments for viruses before opening. Om Namo Narayanaya: Sunil Moderator. Guest guest
Hair-Om ======= Sunil did a great service by warning everyone about the virus affected mail going around. I did receive about half dozen mails purporting to be from some Goluk..bhakti or something...Fortunately they were directed to my bulk mail and having received the warning I analysed the heading and found certain minute abnormalities such as difference in the size of the alphabets, minor spelling mistakes etc. and true, they happened to be virus mail. I deleted them without opening. Jai Shree Krishna ! Krishnanujan guruvayur , " vinod_ps77 " <vinod.ps@g...> wrote: > > !!
