Guest guest Posted March 3, 2006 Report Share Posted March 3, 2006 GRAND INAUGURATION OF SHRI GURUJI CENTENARY Vijaya Ekadashi, Yugabda 5107 [24 February 2006], proved to be an eventful and memorable day for the people of the historic city of Nagpur, where the RSS was founded in 1925. Many prominent Saints and seers, along with dignitaries from various walks of life arrived from all over Bharat in Nagpur, to participate in the grand opening ceremony of centenary year of Shri Guruji. The day started with an auspicious note. The revered saint, Mata Amrutanandmayi, visited the Samadhi of Dr. Hedgewar and Smruti Sthan of Shri Guruji at Reshimbag to offer her tributes. Mataji also addressed and blessed the meeting of the executive committee of the RSS, which was going on in the premises of Reshimbag. In the evening, a huge meeting of enthusiastic people witnessed the inauguration ceremony, addressed by prominent persons like Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth Swami Vasudevanand Sarasvati, Madhwacharya Shri Vishwesh Tirth maharaj, Bouddha Bhikku Gyanjagatji Mahasthavir, Sarsnghchalak of RSS Shri. K.S. Sudarshanji, former prime minister Shri. Atalbihari Bajpeyi, president of the Samiti Swami Satyamitranand Giri and executive president of Samiti Shri. Rama jois. A galaxy of eminnet persons was present in the audience including Shri. Lalkrishna Advani, chief ministers of some states, members of ‘Shri Guruji Janmashatabdi Samaroh Samiti’, and saints of ‘Sanrakshak mandal’.
