SLOKA/PRAYER Gajaananam Bootha Ganaadhi Sevitham

Kapiththa Jamboo Phala Saara Bhakshitham

Umaa Sutham Soka Vinaasa Kaaranam

Namaami Vigneswara Paadha Pankajam

MEANING I prostrate at the lotus feet of the Lord who removes obstacles.

He, with the elephant face, the son of Uma, is served by all the hordes of Lord

Siva. He fondly eats fruits and relishes their juices. He destroys all our

sorrows.

 

SLOKA/PRAYER Sree Vishnu Chiththa Kula Nandhana Kalpa Valleem

Sree Ranga Raaja Hari Chandhana Yoga Dhrusyaam

Saakshhat Kshammaam Kaarunyaa Kamalaami Vaanyaam

Godhaam Ananya Sarana: Saranam Prapadhye.

 

MEANING Bereft of any other refuge in Godha (Andal) who is merciful like

Goddess Mahalakshmi, has come in human form of Andal. She is like a wish

fulfilling creeper, that makes the family of Vishnuchitta (Periyaalvar) happy.

With her inner eye, she always sees and dwells on her Lord, the king and God at

Sriranga.

 

SLOKA/PRAYER Loka Veeryam Mahaa Poojyam Sarva Rakshaakaram Vibhum

Parvathee Hirdya-anandham Saasthaaram pranamaamyaham MEANING I bow to Lord

Shasta (Ayyappa, the upholder of Dharma and Sastra) who gladdens the heart of

Parvathi. He is a peerless warrior who protects all. His glory is great and He

deserves great reverence and devoted worship.

MEANING Oh ever auspicious Goddess. You are the counterpart of Siva and

helpful to devotees in every way. Oh our refuge and Goddess with three eyes and

sister of Lord Narayana. Our salutations to you.

MEANING I salute, by bowing down my head, the messenger of Sri Rama,

Hanuman, who travels as fast as the mind and the wind, who has won over his

sense organs, who is the best among the intelligent, who is the son of the wind

god and who is the commander in chief of the army of monkeys.

Rudhrasya Soonum Sura Sainya Naatham

Guham Sadhaaham Saranam Prapadhye MEANING At all times, I seek refuge with

Lord Guha, the God with six faces, with the color of red vermilion and riding a

divine peacock. He is supremely intelligent. He is the son of Rudra and

Commander of the Deva army.

SLOKA/PRAYER Krishnaaya Vasudevaaya Devakinandanaaya Cha

Nandagopa Kumaraaya Govindaaya Namo Nama MEANING I bow to Lord Krishna, the

son of Vasudeva and Devaki, whom he made so happy. I bow to Govinda, the son of

Nandagopa.

SLOKA/PRAYER Namastesthu Mahaamaaye Sreepeete Surapujithe

Sankha Chakra Gadhaa Hasthe Mahaalakshmi Namosthuthe.

 

MEANING Salutations to you, Oh Goddess Lakshmi. You are the divine mother,

the seat of all prosperity, and worshipped even by the Gods. You hold the conch,

the divine wheel and the mace in your hands.

MEANING Salutations to the Sun God, the Moon, and to Mangala (Mars) and

Budha (Mercury). Also to the divine preceptor Brahaspathi and to Sukra, the

teacher of Ausuras, and to Sani, the planet Saturn. Salutations to Rahu and

Kethu.

and Who is dear to Siva, the Lord of Kailaash. Her splendor, illuminates and

explains the ultimate philosophy of the Upanishads. She gladdens the hearts of

the learned. I bow to the Supreme Goddess, the queen of all queens, Who dwells

on a bejewelled thronet, over the esoteric design of Sri Chakra.

Vidhya-Arambham Karishyaami Siddhir Bhavathu Me Sadhaa.

 

MEANING Salutations to you, Saraswathi, the giver of boons and who is

delightful in form. (With your blessings) I start studying and may success

always crown my efforts.

One Who has pierced and Killed Hiranyakashipu

And one who is all pervading and

Omnipotent On Narasimha

You destroy all evil forces and throw away

The Powers of devil and demons by appearing

MEANING Without you, Venkatesa, there is no other Lord. I remember you and

worship you always. Show mercy to me, Oh Vishnu, give me all that is good and

pleasant.

Viswaakaaram Gagana Sadrusam Meghavarnam Subhaangam

MEANING

I bow to Vishnu, with the benign form, reclining on the serpent. The lotus

issues forth from the navel and He is the very universe. He is the supreme among

the Gods, the consort of Lakshmi, and He resplendent like the sky, and the color

of the clouds and with auspicious limbs. His eyes are beautiful like the lotus

and He is ever in the hearts of His evolved devotees. He is the one and only

Lord of all this universe and can save us from the cycle of repeated births and

deaths

deer. I bow to the Lord of all beings. I bow to the Lord Who has the Sun, the

Moon and the Fire as His three eyes. I bow to Him Who is fond of Mukundha. I bow

to Him, Who is the refuge of all devotees and Who grants boons to them. I bow to
