Guest guest
Seed to ward away Pain Are you always stressed out with your blood pressure level hovering around the danger mark? Or are you a heart patient who has been advised to keep a bottle of those " life-saving " drugs nearby? Believe it or not, things might just be up for you. The Mumbai University had recently conducted a research on 100 individuals suffering from severe blood pressure and cardiac problems. All the 100 subjects were made to wear rudrakshas. The study found that at least 60 of these subjects showed signs of speedy recovery. " I was advised to wear a Swasthya Bandh, a combination of two seeds of teen (three)-mukhi and three seeds of panch (five)-mukhi rudrakshas. It is beneficial in controlling blood pressure and even diabetes in some cases. This combination also provides relief from stress and anxiety. My blood pressure and sugar are under control now, " says Narayan Basu, a lawyer. Ongoing research at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai University, has scientifically proven that rudrakshas have immense medical benefits. Initial results have confirmed cardio protective, anti-inflammatory and nootropic activities (memory enhancement) properties of rudrakshas. But these properties are only found in the original rudrakshas, claim experts. " There are a lot of people who manufacture and sell fake rudrakshas. One should be careful and avoid buying these fakes. The only way to buy a real rudraksha is to buy it from an authentic dealer, " says Tanay Seetha, a dealer. Multi-faceted rudrakshas come with different properties. And their effects vary depending on the personality of the wearer, " says Kamal Narayan Seeta The life of a rudraksha seed is between 300 and 400 years and it can be passed on from one generation to other. And the number of people using rudrakshas has increased remarkably. Lakshmi Raju, who wears an eka (one)-mukhi rudraksha says " I have had several problems, including family and professional. I was advised to wear the seed to solve my problem. To a certain extent I have been able to manage things. " -- Krishna Prasad .. Yad yad aacarati sreshtah, tad tad eva itaro janah. As the Gita puts it, consistency of purpose and a spirit of dedication and, if necessary, sacrifice, should characterize the new spirit.
