HARI AUM

The vedic mantras are recited as u rightly said to

conduct the yajna.

Moreover it is designed as the first stage of

creation. 'Word' is AKSHAR in Sanskrit. AKSHAR means

that which will not perish.

So thru a ritualistic chanting our great seers has

kept a legacy which will take care of this country

even if the general public astray from the righteous

path.

Probabaly the change that we see in the economic

revival of our country's fortune could be due to the

age old system designed by our great rishis and munis.

Knowingly or unknowingly even now hundreds and

thousands of temples are opened in the early hours of

Brahma and these mantras are chanted.

Ultimately it is the power of the spoken word that

keeps the world moving.

Dear All -

I would like to know the purpose of Vedic Chanting.

I know one of the purposes is to perform veda karmas.

I would like to know if there is any other purpose.

Also, I would like to know if Adi Sankara has talked

about Vedic Chanting in any of his works. If so, what

has he said? If any one can give reference, that will

be great.

Best Regards

Rajaram V.
