With great joy, tremendous hope, and as a humble offering at the Lotus

feet of Sriman Narayana, we are bringing out a music-cum-dance ensemble

production titled

" Naama Vaibhavam……Anir vachaneeyam "

(INEFFABLE GLORY OF THE DIVINE NAME OF THE LORD!)

Time: 6.00 PM – 9.30 PM.

 

 

 

The song compositions and dance recitals are based on highly divine

music reaching out to a crescendo…in an attempt to bring out the

beauty of Nama-Sankeertana in itself, and its ease and efficacy in

reaching out to the highest, in attaining eternal bliss…

 

 

 

The programme will bring out the evolution of Nama, Vedas and Nada out

of the Pranava Mantra viz: AUM and will artistically depict Nadopasana

and Nama-Sankeertana, two music based Margas to reach the Lord…

 

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

 

 

Srishti begins in silence…it ends in silence… all else in

between is Sound (Shabda)..

 

 

 

The programme is presented in two halves

 

 

 

1. Sangeetam: Devout, Classical music based on few compositions of

Saint-composers who attained the highest and did Nadopasana, along with

a keertana extolling the greatness of Vedas and the need to cherish

them.

 

 

 

1. Nrityam: Pandharpur Bhaktas, the doyens of Nama-Sankeertana Yoga.

The dances will be performed to Marathi Abhangs as well as to other

compositions. The items include an ode to Pandharipura Kshetra itself,

as well as the " charitras " (lives) of Sants - Namadeva, Janabai,

Gorakumhar and Chokamela, each of whose histories is glorious and

uplifting…

v The haunting throb of the Pranava Mantra -AUM

v Chanting of the Veda and Gayatri mantras emanating out of the

Pranava mantra

v The Nada in these shabdas laying patterns in swaras and talas

culminating in soulful and divine music

v The Nama in these shabdas lending themselves to Sankeertan, the

joyous rendering of the Bhagavan-Nama

v Nada and Nama combining gloriously to uplifting Keertans and

Abhangs depicting the blissful state of mind of the composers through

Sangeetam , and the play of the Lord, specifically Panduranga Lilas with

a few chosen bhakthas, through Nrityam…

v Nadopasana and Nama-Sankeertana…each separately and together

showing us, Jivas, the path to the Paramatma…to achieving the

infinite Bliss of being with the Lord, having torn asunder the bonds of

Samsara…

 

The emphasis of the entire programme will be on the greatness of

Nama-Sankeertan…its ease, the joy and bliss it brings to the sadhak,

the salve it applies to souls tortured by the grimness of everyday

living…
