Guest guest
!! Sri Rama Jayam !! Thanks for the information Kishore. But unfortunately, I am not able to visualize any images (if u hv attached). Plz confirm this. I have changed the word 'yata' to 'yatra' in the subject. There is a very popular story going with Amarnath & Bhagavattam. Lord Siva is addressed as " Amarnath " & thus once seated in the ice caves of Himalayas under a tree, he decided to dictate 'Amrutva Mantram' to his consort Sati (the daughter of Daksha prajapati). But there was a condition put upfront, that the listener must 'Hmm..' after each shloka which would mean that the meaning of shloka is properly understood. Ishwara (in the meditational posture) started disclosing the most confidential knowledge to his eligible best-half. The dictation went too long & in the course of time devi Sati fell asleep. But the all-knowing Ishwara continued & to the surprise the bird 'Suka' nesting over the tree branch took over the responsibility of 'Hmm-ing' instead of Sati. The fortunate bird thus had the rarest oppotunity to listen to the summary of the most confidential science by Sriman Maheshwara. Evidently 'Suka' had become a Muktatma. Ishwara having completed his meditation discovered the state of Sati. 'Alas ! who else have then received my words'. The anger of Sri Maheshwara was too high to withstand for anybody in the whole universe. Ishwara discovered the presence of Suka bird & rose up to kill it on the spot. The frightened Suka flew to seek refuge in the whole world. But who will save him now ..?? ... Flying above the hermitage of Sri Vyasa, the bird mistakenly entered into the mouth of Vyasa's wife (and thus to her womb) who was yawning that time. Taken by surprise Vyasa consoled his wife. No later, Ishwara entered the scene & asked Vyasa to give back the bird. Vyasa enquired - " What will u do to him ? " ... " Death is the only thing he deserves now! " replied Mahadeva. " But my lord how can that happen now, as he is immortal now by your unfailing grace " .... Mahadeva was thus pacified & blessed Suka. Vyasa requested Suka to come out of the womb as it was too painful for his wife to bear the same & that Mahadeva will not bring any harm to him anymore. But Suka was in a self-realized state now. He replied - " I further does not wish to step into this samsaara which is fully immersed in Maya. The intellectual words of Vyasa could not pacify Suka & thus Lord Narayana addressed his presence in the ashrama. Hearing to the words of Suka, the compassionate Lord granted him the post of 'Paramahamsa' untouched by Maya (both micro & cosmic). Pleased Suka thus came out of the womb as the son of Vyasa. Eventually, he learned all the works compiled by Vyasa & emerged as the most expert commentator of Srimad Bhagavattam thereby bringing the stream of Narayana bhakti to millions of Parikshits born in this kaliyuga and ages to come. Salutations to Suka Paramahamsa !
