Guest guest
The eight kinds of worship given in Bhagavathas in Prahladacharithra are slightly different sravaNam kirthanam vishnOh smaraNam paadhasevanam archanam vandhanam dhaasyam sakhyam aatmanivedhanam. Srvanam is listening to the kathaas and the glory of The Lord, through which one can attain Him. The example of this kind of Bhakthi is Pareekshith. Kirthanam is singing His glory and Narada is an example of this kind of bhakthi and so are the saint composers like Thyagharaja, Purandharadas etc. Smaranam is constant remembering of Him and His name.Uddhava can be cited as an example of this kind of bhakthi. Archanam is worshipping Him with flowers and chanting sahasranama etc.Periazvar and Paraasarabhattaretc were this kind of bhakthas. Vandhanam is bowing down to Him in devotion. Almost all the acharyas are examples of this. Dhaasyam is to be His Dasa doing His bidding. Of course everyone will know that Hanuman was this kind of bhaktha. Sakhyam is lookin upon Him as a friend like Arjuna did. Finally paadhasevanam is serving at His feet. Mahalakshmi herself illustrates this kind of bhakthi.
