Dear all,

Jaya Jaya Rama Rama.

Yes, the month of Karkidagom has started today. In Kerala, they

attribute the title of "Kalla-karkidagom", for what reason, I do not

know. They say to ward off all the ill-effects of the

kalla-karkidagom, one should do the parayanam of Ramayanam on a daily

basis and complete it on the last day of the month. Anyway., for

doing good things, one need not take anybody's permission or ask for

any reasons. So let us start reading the Ramayanam, whatever edition

one has got, Valmiki Ramayanam, Adhyatma Ramayanam, Ramacharitamanasa,

Kamparamayanam or Thunjathu Ezhuthacchan's. One can also access the

website www.narayaneeyam.com and read dasakams 34 and 35 which deal

with the sytory of Rama.

Regards

K.V. Gopalakrishna.

Ohm Narayanaya Namah Dear Shri Ratheesh Nair Thanks for the website. I visited and saw the importance of visiting Nalambalam. I heard it through a friend in 2001 and had a chance to visit all the 4 temples in one day though not in Karkadaka masam but in Kumbha masam. We were not aware of the ritual of Usha pooja etc.. but completed our round early one morning. May be the reason I am still enjoying life now. Dear Gopalkrishnaji Yes you are right. For doing good things, there is no need top take anyone's permission. I read Adhyatma Ramayanam everyday throughout the year , may be only one page or so. However, I complete the book in month during Karkidakam. I also hear people say that we should not read holy books after 6.00 PM. However, as I am working, I can read only after 6.00 PM . I do not think that for taking HIS name time should be a barrier. We can take HIS name anywhere at all times. Dear Syamalaji,

I have not heard of any such rules, that holy books should not be read

afdter 6 p.m. etc. I read any time, depending upon when I get time.

Even tbe Bhagavatam and Ramayanam do not say anything abiut reading

after 6 p.m. So I think we can continue in the same way. This is

my personal opinion.

!! Sri Rama Jayam !!

Dear shri Keerthi kumar,

In fact I have also heard something similar as you hv mentioned.

There is a famous saint Morari Bapu from Gujarat spreading the

divinity of Sri Ramacharitmanas of Thulasidas. During one of his

discourses, a devotee expressed his concern regarding Anjaneya's

photograph placed in his puja room, in the form Panchamukhi Hanuman.

The deity form of hanuman being ferrocious, the devotee did

experienced some very strong effects in the ambience. To pacify the

frustrated devotee, Bapu replied that a dedicated devotee must always

take very intense care while practising devotion to the ferrocious

form of Hanuman (or any other deities). Such devotional processes

must be done only by the consent of a spiritual Guru & not by self-

decisions (though it may appear appropriate to our thinking). Because

the devotee was unwilling (due to fear) to remove the photograph

inspite of his ill-experiences, Bapu advised him to replace the

photograph with the meditating form of Hanuman (white haired)

reciting Rama nama. The devotee form of Hanuman is well accessible to

all devotees, supplementing peace & devotion.

Thanks for helping me to bring out this point.

Hare krishna,

Dear Syamala/Keerthi kumar,

The below mentioned articles is really very interesting but i have an experience and suggestion to the below.

firstly let me introduce my self .Iam Sreedhar Nair working in Malaysia with one of the MNC company here. last 13 years my life was in diff countries. iam a Devotee of Lord Guruvayoorappan with love iam always calling him as Kannan. any trouble comes if i cried and called Kanna "KathuKollename" to be very practical experiance he will do something for me. this is not one time several time experianced.

Now my Opinion is if you chant or pray God anytime with pure and sincere mind there is no wrong and also you will be blessed by the almighty.your Devotion to the God to show through the words and deeds and respect elders and love all.

This my experiance iam sharing may be iam reight or wrong. rest leave to Gods feet.

tks for the Website for the Ramayanam. now can Download from it. be in touch.

With Love

Dear Sreedharji Thank you very much. What a similarity. I also always call 'ENTE KANNAN" just like you. Sincere Prayers will always pay . This is my experience as well. I read all holy books only at night as I cannot make it during the day except on holidays. However, during one of the recent Bhagavata sapthaham in Mumbai, I heard people saying that holy books especially Bahgavtham should not be read after 6.00 PM. I did not take it that seriously and still continue to read at night only. The above talks prompted me to ask such a question so that the doubt can be cleared. The deity form of hanuman being ferrocious, the devotee did experienced some very strong effects in the ambience. To pacify the frustrated devotee, Bapu replied that a dedicated devotee must always take very intense care while practising devotion to the ferrocious form of Hanuman (or any other deities). Such devotional processes must be done only by the consent of a spiritual Guru & not by self-decisions (though it may appear appropriate to our thinking). Because the devotee was unwilling (due to fear) to remove the photograph inspite of his ill-experiences, Bapu advised him to replace the photograph with the meditating form of Hanuman (white haired) reciting Rama nama. Om namo bhagvathe vasudevaya:

By gods sake I am a member of this wonderful group and

I am benefited by increasing my little knowledge

about Hindu dharma and about the gods, and it is so

useful and it is so necessary for this yoga where no

god fear, terrorism is every where and the men’s

become lazy and selfish.

While reading this message about the devotional

books should not read after 6 pm.

Now the life like ours who is leaving the office

early in the morning and reaching in the night could

not able to find time to read holy books in the day.

They find time only in the nights. Now I am

remembering one story which I red somewhere abut 30

years back in my

Child hood

There was a farmer who starts his work by 4 am with

giving water to the bullocks, then going to the farm

for plough etc and he is very busy till the night and

not able to find any time for worship/pray He does

his pray only during his bath etc in the morning an

evening . Where he don’t able to deviate his mind for

any jobs. One day he was taking bath along with he

was chanting rama rama rama unfortunately Lord hanuman

was passing this way and he heard the rama japam, he

was so happy and he went to see the man who was doing

the japam when he saw that the man is doing the

ramajapam in the bath room he got very much angry and

slapped the farmer and went away to meet Lord rama.

When he met Lord Rama he saw that rama is sitting in a

uncomfortable manner because of pain on his face and

he saw some finger tips also on his face. Hanuman

enquired with rama

My lord Rama what happened who slapped you on your

face

tell me who is the person, definitely I will kill

him

Rama told hanuman that this is because of you

Hanuman got whispered because of me?

Lord ram: yes because of you. You slapped to my bhakta

if you slap to my bhakta that means you are

slapping to me and the farmer to whom you slapped is

a real bhakta of mine since he is doing his karma

and because of this job profile ( karma) he is not

able to find time for worship/pray hence he is doing

his pray in the bath room that means whenever he

founds time he is remembering me.

Hanuman felt s badly and he told sorry to the lord

Note: this is a story I read somewhere and not from

the purana. The morale of the story

is you can remember/pray to the god any time and

anywhere.

heard the rama japam, hewas so happy and he went to see the man who was doingthe japam when he saw that the man is doing theramajapam in the bath room he got very much angry andslapped the farmer and went away to meet Lord rama. When he met Lord Rama he saw that rama is sitting in auncomfortable manner because of pain on his face andhe saw some finger tips also on his face. Hanumanenquired with rama My lord Rama what happened who slapped you on yourfacetell me who is the person, definitely I will killhim Rama told hanuman that this is because of you Hanuman got whispered because of me?Lord ram: yes because of you. You slapped to my bhaktaif you slap to my bhakta that means you areslapping to me and the farmer to whom you slapped isa real bhakta of mine since he is doing his karma and because of this job profile ( karma) he is notable to find time for worship/pray hence he is doinghis

pray in the bath room that means whenever hefounds time he is remembering me. Hanuman felt s badly and he told sorry to the lord Note: this is a story I read somewhere and not fromthe purana. The morale of the storyis you can remember/pray to the god any time andanywhere.Hari omgangadharan--- "sreedhar c.p" <sreepal20 > wrote:> Hare Krishna,> > Dear Syamalaji,> > Appreciate for the good thinking and should be> continued to get the doubts to be cleared to reach> the highest of the spiritual level.> Even me also very professional on my field but> spiritually lot and lot to be learned . information> to be shared and enjoy the Blissfulness. Not getting> time on everyday still try to find some time for the> spiritual growth.> > Be in touch> > With
