Guest guest
Jai Sreekrishna In childhood, we used to make pookkalam on all the 10 days and it was nice fun going in search of flowers with friends. Then Oonjalaattam, thumpi tullal, Kudam Oothu. Those were days of real enjoyment. Though we used to make pookkalam , we never knew the meaning behind it. Recently I came to know that poovidal form Atham day onwards represents the following devathas 1st day Atham Ganapathi 2nd day Parvathi Devi 3rd day Mahadevan 4th day Nanmukhan (Brahma) 5th day Pancha Bhootangal 6th day Shanmukhan(Murukan) 7th day Sapta Mathakkal 8th day Ashtadik Palakar 9th day Navgrahangal 10th day Maha Vishnu Now when we do poovidal, we can atleast remember and bow down before the respective devathas.
