Below is given a model Introduction. Requesting all to

vet the same after applying their minds, making the

necessary changes etc.

 

As regards to the view points- we need to finalise.

The views that were raised in this forum has been

concised earlier, and the same is posted below for the

members to look at it once again. Please do add if

anything is missed, change those which are needed and

let us get that too organised by 5th of September.

 

I suugest a date of 10th Sept to come out with a

draft, and the final by 20th ?

Alongwith the beings he also gave the spirit of

co-operation and said: with this you go and realise

Memorandum submitted to the Chairman and Board Members

of Devaswom Board Guruvayoor.

 

Introduction

 

Guruvayur is the discussion forum of

the devotees of the God Supreme Sree Krishna

consecrated at Guruvayur, Trichur Dist, Kerala State

as Guruvayurappan.

 

The devotees participating in this forum have one

thing in common-their devotion and submission to

Guruvayurappan.

 

They are spread all over the world and many in Kerala

and in other parts of India.

 

The forum is open to all those who qualify the simple

qualification-Devotion and Submission to

Guruvayurappan.This does not by any means exclude the

spirituality found in other religions, sects and

groups. All are welcome in the broader sense that the

whole universe itself is the manifestation of our

Bhagavan Guruvayurappan.

 

As said above our focus and concern being primarily

focussed on Guruvayurappan we hope to participate in

the welfare of the temple and its administration by

providing the best of our thoughts and efforts.

 

The recent news that came in the news papers related

to the increase in the number of Udayasthamana Puja to

be conducted on the designated days had caught our

attention. The matter was deliberated and found that

the devotees are very much at variance in their views

towards this change.

 

This prompted us to collate the opinions and arrive at

the majority opinions in its diverse forms and present

it to the Administartion.

 

We hope the Respected Chairman and The Members of the

Devaswom Board will give due attention to this

memorandum.

 

We are sure the same will help you in your decision on

the change in the Udayasthaman Puja.

 

We also look forward to add value in whatever possible

ways to improve the Temple and its facilities in the

coming days too.

Collectively the points are:

 

1. The Tantri's word shall be deemed as final

2. Administarion shall not interefere in matters

related to the Puja vidhi.

3. The reduction of the waiting period is certainly

necessary but the same shall be done without making it

a money spinnner for the Devaswom.

4. The above point is supported as-the cost of the

Puja remaining the same the participants shall be

benefitted by way of dividing the total cost among

themeselves.

5.The matter shall be widely discussed .

6.The matter should be put before those persons who

are in the know how of things like Tantri and other

learned persons of the State.

7.It is also suggested that public opinions be sought

before taking major decisions on such sensitive

matters.

8. Such changes are to be totally avoided and the

temple should be run as per the rituals prescribed by

Shree Adi Sankaracharya.
