Guest guest
Dear Sunil and other friends of the forum and Krishna-bhaktas, Radhe Krishna! Sunilji has acknowledged what I had written sometime back about the division among our Hindus themselves instead of proving ourselves to be a unifying force. I hope wiser counsel will prevail and all of us, irrespective of the different mini-faiths in which we find ourselves, forget our group/personal identities and feel ourselves one with the Lord and offer Him all our Bhakti. Let us dedicate ourselves to chanting His names jointly, wherever we are between 6 and 7 p.m. or any other time acceptable to ourselves and sing His glories. During the rest of the time, in whatever preoccupations we are, let us keep Him enshrined in our minds and think of Him only. Let us not, for Heaven's sake, stop worrying about Whose Avatara Who is, and focus our minds only on Him. Speaking of myself, I have got convinced that the Lord's ways are inscrutable and beyond human comprehension. Let those who want to engage themselves in investigative spirituality go ahead and do that. Regards KVG. How can we talk about issues like religious conversion or eradication of poverty when we fight about our own Gods and their supremacy??? I think the reason for Hinduism's suffering in recent decades is due to this division among us, not because of other religions or money pouring from outside. Why blame others for the lack of our unity? Anyway, I request all of you to take a minute and think about what we are doing in the name of God! Please respect others and their views. Let us stop wasting our time on proving whose is the supreme God. (I am sure that discussion will not reach anywhere except every one calling each other bad names) So, let us move on to Bhakti. Guest guest
HARI AUM Dear Shree Sunil, The only word I can think of is : WELL SAID and WELL DONE. After having noticed the tendencies in some of the postings to smear and use unwanted comments and attack personally I had repeatedly quoted the verse from Gita clearly stating the standards to be adopted while communicating with others. I suggest that as a principle none shall take up cudgels for and against the views expressed in this forum. The contrarian views should be expressed keeping the decorum of the said view and the person. On behalf of the members I request you, Sunil, to kindly bear with us for the instances. We know that by maintaining this group you are in fact giving each one of us an opportunity to express ourselves to an audience. It was our foolhardiness to cross the limits and put you to pain and shame. From now on I am sure each one of us shall keep up to the high standards in our interactions through this forum. Once again extending our apologies to you, and Thanking You for the tolerances On Behalf of the : The Most Well Behaved Memebers of This Forum Balagopal NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA --- Sunil Menon <menon_sunil wrote: > Dear Devotee Members, > > I think it is a shame for us to in-fight in the name > of our God. > > How can we talk about issues like religious > conversion or eradication > of poverty when we fight about our own Gods and > their supremacy??? > > I think the reason for Hinduism's suffering in > recent decades is due > to this division among us, not because of other > religions or money > pouring from outside. Guest guest
Dear devotees, Sanaathana Dharmam has the highest tolerance to other relegions. There is only one supreme god. He may be called in different names by various people. Water which can quench our thirst is called in various names in different languages. The same water we can fetch using various means also. Similarly for attaining the supreme there are various means. However all are talking the same about the supreme god though the names differ. Even if someone says there is no form for god also we can appreciate it since Srimad bhagavatham says Brahmedi, Paramatmedi, Bhagavaan , iti sabdyathe.
