Jai Sreekrishna The story of missing Thulasimala I would like to share my experience I had last Sunday with the Group. May be it will be difficult for someone to digest, but it happened with me and I am still wondering where that Thulasimala disappeared. I am attending Narayaneeyam and Gita class at Mirar road ,a station away from where I am staying. Before starting the class, my teacher makes us sing swagatham song and also some other keertans of Kannan. After that she will do the abhishekam on a small Krishna vigraham she carries alongwith her. From the second class onwards, I had made it a point to make one thulasi mala for this vigraham The happiness I get on seeing the vigraham adored with my mala after abhishekam is beyond explanation. Since I do not get that fresh thulasi and flowers at Dahisar , on my way home from office, I get down at Dadar where I get fresh thulasi leaves and other flowers. Last Saturday I saw very good Lotus . I bought 5 of them and the first thing in my mind was to take one Lotus to the class as alankaram for the vigraham alongwith thulasimala. I also take some prasadam like banana, sweets etc., for the class on all Sundays That Saturday while coming back from office, all of a sudden I thought of preparing kabuli chana with coconut and green chilli for a change as prasdam . So I took half kg kabuli chana as well alongwith me. On Saturday night, I made the thulasimala as usual and kept it in a plastic bag along with some flowers except the Lotus. The next day morning, I did boil the kabuli chana, but

then I became lazy to scrape the coconut etc., and decided not to take this prasadam and instead decided to buy bananas on my way to the class. Then it was turn for the Lotus flower. Here again, There was a change in my mind and decided to go without it. Even now I do not know what is the reason for this change of mind. Finally I left for the class around 7.45 AM. On my way I wanted to buy bananas, but to my surprise, the yellow banana which I carry (I never use the green banana commonly seen in Mumbai ) was not there at all. I used to get the yellow bananas any time, and many a

times on my way to class I used to buy the same. However, that day I could not get the same anywhere in the market. So I had no option but to buy the green bananas Finally I reached the class. After keeping the bananas infront of the photo of Guruvayoorappan, I opened the bag in which I had kept the thulasimala and other flowers. To my surprise, thulasimala was missing.

By then I was feeling very guilty of everything that happened and I could not concentrate on the keertans and thereafter the class The other surprise was that, that day there was no other prasadam

from anyone except bananas. Normally there used to be palpayasam, appam, ada , ksheera, etc etc. So it was HIS desire that I take some prasadam that day which I did not Immediately after the class, I phoned up home and asked my daughter to find out whether the mala is lying there, but it was not there. After reaching home, I searched nook and corner of the house, but it was no where. Where does it disappear? I have no answer. May be Kannan was telling me, I asked you for the Lotus which you did not give. I asked for the prasadam which you did not prepare. So I do not want your thulasimala as well today From the whole episode, I learned a lesson - whenever you feel like doing something for God, do it and never ignore such indusions as it is HIS prerna . After this incident I could just say Ente Kanna mappu and promised not to repeat this again Humbly Syamala

Hi Guruvayoo Devotee,

Many a time we can't find an explanation with our 'imited' logics.

Anyway you were all the time thinking of Kannan - to make someting or

take something for Kannan or not doing that for Kannan. So Kannan was

all the time in your mind and so nothing bad can happen to you. And

he did not want even to mis your Thulasi Mala. You know he is

pleasantly mischievous too. So he took it away himself- lest you may

decide not to carry it along with you! So all was for the good - He

accepted your offer in advance. What more a devotee can expect?

Please feel BLESSED.

With Regards,

NB Nair.
