Guest guest
Dear Syamalaji and others, Radhe Krishna! I could have volunteered to make an attempt, but for the fact that we, old timers have learnt by the traditional methods, starting from the alphabets, the Raama and Ramaa sabha etc., which, according to the present way tradition established by the Samskrita Bharati etc., are time -honoured. I understand the present day techniques are diffefrent. That is why I suggest the Samskrita Bharati. Smt. Sarojamji, a highly qualified scholar in Sanskrit should be in a position to advise us on this, I suppose. Love KVG Syamala Nair wrote: Jai Sreekrishna I am also interested in learning Sanskrit. Therefore my humble suggestion is to first take the opinion of members like Shri Gopalakrishnanji and Smt. If Sarojaji, KVG or any other senior Gurus in our group is willing to lend a hand, it will be most welcome. However, I do understand the time constraint involved with such a commitment and understand fully for not having time. Also, we would not want to start something and stop in the mid way because of the lack of interest or too few people shows up. So, members, please reply if you are really serious about learning Sanskrit before we can request to a teacher. Guest guest
Well! I was silent in order to see what the members wish to do. The method of samskrutha bharathi is quite good. But the problem is after you finish one course they will send the next only if you take the examination of the first. In modern days, even in the schools they follow only easy methods. Rgarding pronounciation it can be easily taught by using English alphabets. I have some primer books and I can scan the pages one by one and send and the members can ask their doubts and I will answer them. But as one member has suggested this should not be a passing fancy and should not be discontinued after a while as Sunil caautioned. Those who are genuinely interested and has the patience and sincerity and involvement can become members of a separate branch of Guruvayur group and receive regular lessons provided they agree to commit themselves to the study. I have the patience and will make it as easy as you want, if you decide i take up the study we can start sometime in January, which is only a week or so away. If there are any online courses you can join them also and be benefitted. I will tailor the lessons to suit the needs of the students once you let me know your requirements. sarojaramanujam " K.V Gopalakrishna " <gopalakrishna.kv wrote: Dear Syamalaji and others, Radhe Krishna!
