Malayalam typing - A how to guide.

Dear Devotees,

 

Many of you conveyed me your interest in typing Malayalam articles or

poems but not knowing how to do it. Here is a primer on how you can

start writing in Malayalam.

 

I use VARAMOZHI Malayalam Text Editor to type in Malayalam. It is a

free program created by a nice soul, Cibu.

What you need to do is -

 

1. Download 'Varamozhi' Malayalam editor using the following link

2. Install it on your computer

 

3. Open the Varamozhi Editor and type in English on the left side;

you will see the Malayalam equivalant on the right side.

 

5. At the end of the typing, save the file and attach it to the email

you sent or copy and paste the Malayalam or English portion to the mail.

 

4. REMEMBER that you need to specify WHAT FONT you used for me to

recreate the file easily. You can get to know the font using the top

level menu option 'Font' from Varmozhi editor.
