Guest guest
HARI AUM The principles that are employed are indicated in his 'Gita': 1. yam ayam vapi smaranbhavam thyajathanthe kalevaram tham thamavaithi kaunteya sada thathbhavithaha 2. yo yo yam yam thanum bkathaha sradharchithumichathi thasya thasya achalam shradham thatmeha vidhathamhyaham 3. sathayasradhayayuktha thasya aradhanameehathe labhathecha thathaha kaman vihitanhitan As we are in a constant, continuous, cycle of creation and destruction, the 'thyajathanthe kalevaram' need to be understood as very dynamic and not a single point of departure called 'death'. Those of you who have a deeper knowledge about the principles mentioned in His 'GITA' may contribute to the benefit of all. Guest guest
Thyajanthanthe kaleb varam means exactly what it says, namely the time of leaving the body which means death. The next line makesit clear 'thamthamEvaEthi,' meaning, one gets the janma or reacn hes there what ever dcomes fore4most in his mind at death. Thee is a classicalexample of Jadabharatha, who, inspite of being a renounced ascetic acquired a deer janma becaus eof his constant thim nking of his pet deer. The previous sloka has explained this well to which the next one is only an appendix. anthakAlE cha mAmEva smaran mukthvA kalEbaram yah prayAthi sa madhbhAvam yAthi- ( the word cha is very important.) the one who gives up his body remembering the Lord alone 'also' at the and of his life attains Him.There is no doubt about this , says Krishna. Since the final thought causes the new body whatever one thinks in the end , so he becomes.(yam yam ---) This does not seem to be as accidental as it looks. It is not just any random thiought that comes to your mind at the last moment of your life that will determine your next janma. The thought that repeatedly comes foremost in our minds will only occur to us in the last moment. So in order to think of the Lord in the last moment the thought of Him should be foremost all through the life. This is confirmed by the words of Krishna who says 'thasmAth mAm anusmara yuDHya cha.', which means that whatever you do, here fighting as far as Arjuna is concerned, always think of the Lord. This is what Ramanuja means by dhruvasmrthi, a constant flow of thought that runs undercurrent in your mind which he calls dhyana. This is the way to attain the supreme, Krishna says,' Mayyarpitha mano buddhih mAmEvaishasyasamsayah , when you have your mind and intellect fixed on me you will reach me without doubt.' How to do this? 'abhyAsa yogayukthEna chEthasA nAnyagAmina,' says Krishna. With repeated practice, with mind not diverted by anything else, one can attain the supreme. sarojaRamanujambalagopal ramakrishnan <rbalpal wrote: HARI AUMThe principles that are employed are indicated in his'Gita':1. yam ayam vapi smaranbhavam thyajathanthe kalevaramtham thamavaithi kaunteya sada thathbhavithaha2. yo yo yam yam thanum bkathaha sradharchithumichathithasya thasya achalam shradham thatmehavidhathamhyaham3. sathayasradhayayuktha thasya aradhanameehathelabhathecha thathaha kaman vihitanhitanAs we are in a constant, continuous, cycle of creationand destruction, the 'thyajathanthe kalevaram' need tobe understood as very dynamic and not a single pointof departure called 'death'.Those of you who have a deeper knowledge about theprinciples mentioned in His 'GITA' may contribute tothe benefit of all.RegardsBalagopalNARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA--- Rajeswari ananda <anandarajee > wrote:> OM NAMO BHAGAVATHE VASUDEVAYA> > Thank you for sharing you experiences> Guruvayoorappa saranam > Radha Ramakrishnan <radhark_41 (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote:> > > Note: forwarded message attached.> > > > > > > > > >>________> > India Answers: Share what you know.
