Guest guest
Lot of postings hv already come on this.Gayatri is the Veda Mata or the Primal Energy though it is an adulation of Sun God.For getting the real benefits it can't be said just like any other stotras. It shuld be recited in 5 breaths including the primal OM. 1. OM 2. BHURBHUVASWAHA: 3. TATSAVITHURVARENYAM 4. BHARGHODEVASYADEEMAHI 5. DHIYOYONAPROCHODAYAT. SO for all the above shuld be recited in 5 breaths. There shuld not be any hurry and shuld not be recited in one breath which has got no effect. It is suffice even 12 times the same is recited in such a way than going at a faster rate for 108 times which hv no effect. It is better to recite the sanme in the morning after taking bath.Of course there are other aspects that hv to be done before recital and it is not possible for all to follow the same.So repeating in a slow awy times 12 timeas will hv more effect than saying at a faster rate 108 times or more.Whether the same will create problems or not but the same won't hv any effect. All can recite Gayatry even women and there is no bar as it is only an adoration of the Primal Energy. The benefits of recital Gayatry is immense which can be seen only thru experience. No mantras hv effect unless Gayatry mantra is recited before that. As far as Sahasranamam is concerned the same can be said ,it is better to say slowly and even if some namas are mispronounced no harm will come. But Gayatry shuld be recited only according to the way indicated as the mantra has the effectof cleanising the nervous system and the brain power proper care shuld be taken. If that can't be taken it is better not to recite.Normally it is recited after taking Upadesam from some person of high order and if nobody is available take the Ishta Devata as the Guru and start reciting. If the same is done systemmatically for a year one can know the benefits accrued by the sadhana. Gayantham thrayathe ithi Gayathry is the saying meaning that Gayathry will protect those who recite her with all the love and dedication. As the effects and benefits accrue thru recital is so vast and much can be written on the same I only give a gist of the same. agraman.
