Guest guest
HARI AUM The Feb issue of Navaneetham is shining more brightly than all other previous issues. Sukumarji's in his poem has beautiful reiterated the eternal truth , our Bhagavan, to shine in him-'unmakkuranmayai..' Gitaji's compilation, it seems is the prayer sung when the child is delivered unto Bhagan for caretaking-'adimakedathal'. Can somebody explain the word-'ayussayambathumekanam..'-why life is only for 50 years?? Rajanji's poem reminds the famous words of Robert Frost - 'and miles to go before I sleep..' Sarojaji's piece throws light on the early Bhakthi period. Most of these info is still in academic circles and I think a little bit of historical background of the 'Azwars' ( is it Alwars??)might be more helpful?? Can someone post more on the vaishnava culture, temples, practices that are followed in the other states namely the southern ones. The distinct features of the north and south. How come the Kerala practice is vividly distinct from others.. Veenaji has posted the stanzas impregnated with a wealth of info that is essential to succeeed in any endeavour. So do pay utmost attention to the slokas that are posted in this issue. They are going to be Life changing ones. Thanks a lot to Gopinathji and Valluvanadanji for their very useful info on Thulasi. Hope we can see more of such postings in the future issues too. These pages makes the issue lighter for all to carry. Valluvanadanji's reference to ONV and Vayalar evokes nostalgia. Induji's 'Mahashivarathri' is very timely. Hope from the next issue onwards we will get more updates on the upcoming festivals. I suggest that we shall start posting even the 'ekadeshis', and similar days of fastings that fall in the following period. A constant reminder may motivate and prompt one to follow the ancient rituals which really made a human more of a human.Think of it... The news, Trivis, photos ....all together gave us a good treat. Lookinig forard to see more of crosswords, quizzes, matchings, fill up the blanks, identifiers..etc etc which will all together make every reader eagerly wait for the next issue. The Editors, each one of them deserve every bit of our appreciation for the coomendable work. The 'Navaneetham ' is here. Now it is upto us to savour it and as Sunilji said-share it with as many as possible. Regards Balagopal NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA ________ India Answers: Share what you know.
