Guest guest
Ohm Namo Narrayanaya; Ohm Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya Dear Devotees, Geethage expressed her happiness while her son passed the 10th standard. And she said thanks to Bhagavan through this group. While we all are his devotees we should have a broad mind to accept others happiness and sorrows. I dont find anything unusual in that. I think all them heard so many stories about Poonthanm's bhakthi and the Bhagavn's help. Its better to have a good listener and allow your mind find happiness in other peoples happiness. Guest guest
Sunil is right. This is a family group and everyone should feel free to share their joy or sorrow freely. When you become bhakthas of the Lord you start feeling mathaa cha lakshmee devee pitha cha narayanah baandhavaah vishnubhakthaascha vadudhaiva kutumbakam. So what is arong in conveying your feelings to other family members? All of us are in the samsara only and have not renounced the world. And hence we have to achieve salvation in and through the world only. A real Vaishnava should have tolerance and affection towards all."Para duhkhe upakarakare tho ye man abhimana aanere ,' says Narsi Mehtha in his famous song 'vaishnava jan tho the ne kahiye.' So Geetha, do not feel bad about your mail. I did not respond to your mail earlier because so many have written , especially sri KVG whose advice was more or less what I would have written. My blessings to your son and I am sure that he will pass his twelfth with flying colours. Swami Chinmayananda used to say that ther is no child who is useless but only used less.My only advice to you or ab ny parent whose child is in 11th or 12th is that do not push him too much and let him take things as it comes and naturally. If ou feel anxious about his result it will be communicated to him and he will also get anxious or resentful and will not be able to concentrate on his studies.Show him that you have confidence in his ablility and he will do his best. Do not worry much about his percentage. It is the percentage of God's grace shown to us is what matters. And with the grace of Sri Guruvayurappan your son will be placed well in life irrespective of the percentage he gets in his exams. saroja RamanujamSunil Menon <menon_sunil wrote: Yes, Guruvayur group is mainly for Bhakthi related discussions, however, we humans can't do much without getting to know each other inthat process. Guest guest
I agree with Sunil's observations which he has portrayed well.He started this Group and developed over the years with his absolute devotion to the Lord of Guruvayur and to bring the bhakthas of Guruvayurappan together in a forum to make the same as a family Group so that now we hv members all over the countries. As he said nicely all may not agree everybody's mails or discussions. I am also no exception.Sometimes I used to argue in my own way if I feel that a better version could hv been given. It is not to exhibit my knowledge or derate the knowledge of any member but to express my views and I don't hv any ego complex. If I am wrong I used to agree to that and not for any quarrels. Why shuld fight with the view of another member who is also writing the mails from the knowledge acquired. But to continue the discussion I used to write thereby improving my knowledge and not to test the knowledge of another. We all without any reservations join the Group as members of a family and naturally some may want to share his or her grievances or joys so that the replies by other members may give some consolation or happiness and the feeling that the member is not alone in his or her bad or good times. It only strengthens the bond among the members and not otherwise and there is no need to find fault.Cultivation of bhakthy to Sri Guruvayurappan is the essential one but that does not mean that one shuld not talk to others the calamities he or she underwent as the same is posted only to get more consoltaion and encouragement from others. I highly appreciate that Sunil has acted very wisely in his presentation as a good guide. agraman.Sunil Menon <menon_sunil wrote: Yes, Guruvayur group is mainly for Bhakthi related discussions, however, we humans can't do much without getting to know each other inthat process. Guest guest
Dear Geethaji, I wish all the best to your son and also to you and your family. After reading the replies from Sarojaji and Sunilji, I don't have much to say, except one thing which I believe strongly. During "Annadhana", during festive seasons, we used to say, one among the devotees who is taking the Annadhana will be the the God Himself. In the same way, I personally feel, one of our Group Members will be the God GuruvayurAppan Himself, Who always like to play with His Devotees (his near and dear ones) like a Child . So, althoughg he don't need websites and e-mails to know our problems and happiness, he takes this form also to inform us and to bless us. Jokes apart what you have said is absolutely right. They say dhaivam manushya roopena. It is somethig like sending a letter to God only we send through email nowadays! He reads what is written and what is not written and grants the prayers. IT is quaint and well wxpressed thought. saroja RamanujamHari Ramakrishnan <hari_082005 wrote: Dear Geethaji, I wish all the best to your son and also to you and your family. And with the grace of Sri Guruvayurappan your son will be placed well in life irrespective of the percentage he gets in his exams. saroja RamanujamSunil Menon <menon_sunil > wrote: Yes, Guruvayur group is mainly for Bhakthi related discussions, however, we humans can't do much without getting to know each other inthat process. So, let us respect each and every member of this group including Geethaji and Anjooji. I understand that we may not like every discussion, question or mail. Please ignore or avoid reading if you do not like any mail. As Lord Krishna showed us with the story of Kuchela, every one is veryimportant to HIM and HE loves the humblest the most. Let us all try tobe Kuchelas with our humility and sincerity. Guest guest
Hare Krishna ! Guruvayurappa ! Dear All, This is something serious to consider because: Lord Hari says to Narada, “Naham vasami Vaikunthe, Yoginam hridaye na cha, Madbhaktah yatra gaayanti tatra tishthami Narada.” “Hey Narad, I do not stay in Vaikuntha, nor do I reside in the hearts of the Yogis. But wherever my devotees come together and sing my glory there verily is my abode. This forum is meant for exclusively glorifying Sri Guruvayurappan, and it is only natural to expect the Lord to be present where His glories are being sung!! -sriram ====================================================== --- Saroja Ramanujam <sarojram18 wrote: > Dear Dr. Harikrishna, > So Guruvayurappan is also on line!
