Guest guest
Respected Bhaktas, I am reading "Bhagavat Geeta - As It Is" by Swami Brabhupada. When I was reading the Chapter 7, Sloka 3, in the Purport of this Sloka "manushyanam sahasresu...kascin mam vetti tattvatah", in the Purport, Swami Brabhupada mentions as follows: Srila Rupa Goswami writes in his Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu (1.2.101): "sruti-smriti-puranadi- pancaratra-vidhim vinaaikantiki harer bhaktir utpatayaiva kalpate" As translation he writes: "Devotional Service of the Lord that ignores the authorized Vedic literatures like the Upanishads, Puranas and Narada-pancaratra is simply an unnecesary disturbance in society". I'm sorry that I couldn't understand clearly the the actual meaning and the translation is not so clear to me. I will be greatful if our satsang members could explain in simple terms.
