When I read Gopalkrishnaji's noble piece of advice on the significance of White Pigeons, I am reminded of the senseless cruelty of humans towards harmless creatures of Mother Nature. Yes, " White pigeon is a symbol of peace. Normally pigeons do not associate themselves with human beings ... " . But we humans do not leave them in peace: we cage then in large numbers to be released on ceremonial occasions by our great leaders to show their " large heartedness " . I wish the hearts of these people should grow very large so that these poor pigeons may be spared. Note: When pigeons are caged: their eggs/ young ones in their nests are left to perish: many of them die during catching and in captivity: the released pigeons could very seldom go back to a normal life again.
