The Divine Intervention of Kannan

Krishna Guruvayurappa,

 

It gives me great pleasure to be

part of this group, where we extol the virtues & blessings of our beloved

Kannan.

 

HE is everywhere, always at hand

to help his devotees. I have come across many instances when HE has extended a

helping hand to put me across. I wish to narrate an instance which occurred

with my wife in 2002. This is based on her narration.

 

We are basically from Palakkad

& have been working in Cochin

since 1994. I had asked my wife to join me at Guruvayur from Cochin, while I picked her parents from Palakkad.

This was the 1st time she was traveling to Guruvayur alone. She

caught a bus to Guruvayur from the High Court Junction, Ernakulam in the

evening after attending office. But on reaching FACT Jn., the bus developed

some problems and aborted the trip. As my wife was totally ignorant of the

route, she tentatively proceeded to Paravur under the impression that she could

get some bus from there. On reaching there around 8.00pm at night, she was

informed that there were no buses. Immediately some taxi guys started coming

over offering to drop her. My wife was now totally scared as it was already

dark and the place was totally alien to her. Moreover neither she nor I (who

was waiting in Guruvayur) had a mobile during those times.

 

All of a sudden a young boy

walked up to my wife and said “Chechi – why are you becoming scared? Consider

me as your own brother and come. I shall drop you wherever you want.” Something

in his mannerisms touched my wife’s heart and she accepted and got into his

taxi. To make matters a little more complicated, just before reaching

Chavakkad, the taxi broke down. The boy himself caught another taxi, escorted

my wife and dropped her at the hotel we were staying in at about 11.30pm. And

for all his troubles, he accepted only Rs.100/- from my father-in-law to pay

for the other taxi and left.

 

All this while, I was running

around Guruvayur from one bus stop to another and praying fervently. My son

came looking for me after she had reached the hotel and took me back to the

hotel.

 

On hearing her narration, I was

moved to tears, because I knew it was none other than our beloved Kannan who

had come to her rescue.

 

Im sure that each one of us has

experienced something similar, where HE has come to help us.
