I understand that Srikrishna was born in the night when it was ashtami and rohini. I read somewhere that this year ashtami and rohini falls on the night of Sept 3,07. is that right? is the same applicable in north america too?

In most of the calendars, SreeKrishna Jayanthi is on Sept 3rd andAshtami Rohini (Malayali version of SreeKrishna Jayanthi) is on September 4th. Generally temples outside Kerala and parts of Tamilnadu celebrate Krishna's birth on Sept 3rd night. guruvayur , " epics_07 " <epics07 wrote:
