This group prayed for my daughtershreya to recover from her major brain surgery. By the grace of theLord Guruvaurappan she is doing well. I once again thank you all foryour prayers. I also request our group members to keep her in yourprayers for her ayur, arogya, swokyam. Here I have written about mytrip to guruvayoor and Tirupathy during this summer. Me and my family(with shreya) visited India (we live in Orlando, Florida, USA) duringthe month of May/June especially to visit Tirupathy and Guruvayoor. Iand my wife went by walk from Tirupathy to Tirumala. It was afascinating experience walking through the seven hills. We booked ourtickets in advance for darshan. We stayed for more than a day and had awonderful darshan of Lord Balaji. The atmosphere was fully charged withthe holy names of Govindha. The exhilarating experience one feels atTirumala can not be explained in words. We also visited the adjoiningtemples Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar, Sri Varaha Swamy and Anjanayar in themada veedhi. After having the darshan of Lord Sri Hari we went toAlarmelumanga Puram to have the Darshan of Goddess Padmavathi. Afterwaiting in the queue for half an hour we had very good darshan ofGoodess Padmavathi and prayed for her blessings. On Wednesday June 20th we went to Guruvayoor from Chennai. One of ourfamily friends who live in Trichur booked a lodge for us near thetemple. After taking bath we went to the Guruvayoorappan temple. Wewere just in time to do the thula baram for my children and our familybefore the temple closed for the noon. After having lunch we came backto the temple to stand in the queue. We were standing in the linechanting the holy names of the Lord Guruvayoorappan. When we were aboutto enter the sanctum sanctorum my little daughter shreya was already insleep. We tried to wake her up, her eyes half opened she again wentback to sleep. With the devotees pushing and thronging to have aglimpse of the lord, it was your turn to see the beautifully decoratedlord guruvayoorappan in sandal wood paste. I can not describe thebeauty of our Krishna, it was so wonderful. I stood there in front ofthe Lord for few seconds and prayed. When we came out of the sanctumsanctorum, my wife wanted to go and see the Lord one more time when mydaughter was awake. We were wondering how we can go again to see thelord since the queue was so long. My wife then saw there was somespecial entrance on the right hand side and stood there. But the guardtold her that the entrance was only for senior citizens and told herthat there was a separate queue for the ladies on the left hand sideand advised her to stand in that queue. When my wife went to theladies queue she was surprised that the queue was small. With in fewminutes she along with my daughter shreya had the darshan of the LordGuruvayoorappan. This time my daughter was fully awake and hadexcellent darshan of the Lord. I personally believe this because ofthe mercy of the Lord Krishna. Inside temple we also went to thesannidhis of Lord Ayyappan and Bghavathy Amman. On the same dayevening, we went to Mammiyoor temple. We had very good darshan of LordSiva and Goddess paravathy, Lord Narayana, Lord Ganesh, LordSubrahamanya and Lord Ayyappa. The Mammiyoor temple is really a verybeautiful temple. The next day morning On June 21st, we again went to the Guruvayoortemple to have his darshan one more time. Since it was a Thursday, thequeue was very long and it took us more than three hours to have thedarshan of the Lord. This time Lord Guruvayoorappan was in differentalankaram (decoration). We enjoyed and mesmerized by the beauty of theLord. After our prayers and shashtanga namaskarams we went to back toour lodge and packed our things to go back to Chennai. I pray to theLord to bless me to visit guruvayoor quite often and shower hisblessings on this group and its family members. Thanks for your time for reading such a long email. Guest guest
Dear Shri. Srinivasan and others, Mr. Srinivasan's description of the visit to Guruvayoor is really interesting to all, especially after the recovery of little Shreya with the divine grace of the Lord. I wish Mr. Srinivasan gets some more time to spend at Guruvayoor next time, so that himself and the child can enjoy the atmosphere in Guruvayoor in totality, enjoying the sight of the Ana-seeveli, etc. I had the opportunity of spending 8 days at guruvayoor recently, when I went to attend the Bhagavata Sapthaham by Krishna Premi.
