Dear Reji Babu,

You are telling that kannan is testing your patience

and devotion,But you are not in a position to sacrifice a simple thing for UNNI

KANNAN (wearing dhotis). Kannan loves everyone. So pls go to temple with full

Bhakthi and get all the blessing of GURUVAYOORAPPAN. Learn to wear dothi,

because shorts / pants are not allowed inside temple.

Jai Sri Krishna.

it is a long time since i mailed to this group, but was always reading the

mails coming in this group.

long before i have mailed to this group stating that i have problems with my

job abroad, at that time i requested all of you to pray for me.it was really a

tough time for me.kannan was testing my patience and devotion (the past 6

months).

even after so many hurdles, i lost my job and now im back in india.

at present im in chennai and iam planning to make a new begining in IT.

im planning to join software testing course

also im planning to go to guruvayoor temple with my tamil friend who has never

gone to our temple.

so friends my question is can i go inside the guruvayoor temple wearing a

shorts, because myself and my friend finds it uncomfortable to wear the

traditional dhoti.

previously i used to go in our traditional dress, but at that time i will come

with my family and will take a hotel room near the temple. so i have to cover

only a few steps with dhoti.

but now im planning to stay in pattambi with my another friend and may be i

have to catch a bus from there,

i heard that it will take one hour to reach guruvayoor from pattambi, so only

im asking about other options like shorts

waiting for your advices

hare krishna

hope you guys will guide me in every possible way.

pls pray for me and my friend(he is also having a bad time)

OHM NAMO NARYANA

Your desire to go to meet Bagavan should not be hindered by the problems you face with Dhoti.

My suggestion to you is that there are vendors lending dhotis near the temple where you can rent a dhoti - so that you need to practice walking with dhoti for a short distance only.

You can enquire near the entrance of the main gate of the temple where you leave your foot wear.

Om Namo Narayanya Dear Reji, Most of us who are born and bought up outside Kerala or Southindia have this problem of wearing the Mundu. You have to master the knack of keeping it is place so that it would not loosen when you walk. I have few suggestions that can help you....Sincerely apologies to all regular members since we are not discussing a

bhakti topic. But we do want Reji to visit Guruvayoor Temple and get the blessing of Guruvayoorappan without the tension associated to his dress. First of all practice wearing a good Mundu for at least a week in Chennai. When you are home just go for the Mundu instead of the shorts. When you buy a Mundu do not select the Silk, Polyester or the too silky kind of material, those are difficult to stay in place. Look for a good Cotton Mundu, wash it so that all the starch is removed. Buy a small belt which you can wear over the Mundu, this helps to build in some confidence that the Mundu would not come off. Especially when you have some rush at the temple, you tend to trample on your own Mundu. Once

you have worn the Mundu put on the belt and cover it, make sure you wear the mundu few inches above the ground so that you will never let it fall on the ground, try walking holding one tip of Mundu in your right hand, this helps to walk faster. If you can master these few things I am sure you can have a peaceful Darshan of Guruvayoorappan. Caution; Never enter any temple with the second level tie, this is considered very outrages for Men and is considered discourteous. Keep in mind Guruvayoorappan will always help you. Kind regards, Pravin Narayana Narayana Narayana reji babu <mailrejibabu wrote: hare krishna it is a long time since i mailed to this group, but was always reading the mails coming in this group. long before i have mailed to this group stating that i have problems with my job abroad, at that time i requested all of you to pray for me.it was really a tough time for me.kannan was testing my patience and devotion (the past 6 months). even after so many hurdles, i lost my job and now im back in india. at present im in chennai and iam planning to make a new begining in IT. im planning to join software testing course also im planning to go to guruvayoor temple with my tamil friend who has never gone to our temple. so friends my question is can i go inside the guruvayoor temple wearing a shorts, because myself and my friend finds it uncomfortable to wear the traditional dhoti. previously i used to go in our
