VIRAAD ROOPA - AN OMSSION IN NARAYANEEYAM OF BRAHMASHRI. BHATTATHIRIPPAD

SRIMAD NARAYANEEYAM OF BRAHMASRI. NARAYANA BHATTATHIRI

 

 

Chapter 45 of Narayaneeyam written by B.Sri. Narayana Bhattathiri and other chapters contained therein has not described "VIRAD ROOPA" of Bhagavan Narayana. Since this is an important chapter , many are wonderstruck as to why this was omitted. Probably, it might be due to oversight. However, Late B. Sri. Anantharama Deekshithar

has included this in Chapter 45 ( BALA LEELAS) . In fact, he was responsible to popularize NARAYANEEYAM all over India and abroad. I give the same, hereunder :-

 

After the 10th Stanza where B.Shri. Battathiripad ended the 45th chapter, B. Shri. Anantharama Deekshithar has written about VIRAD ROOPA thus :-

 

" shAkhAgrEttha vidhum vilOkya phalamithyambAnja thAthamuhuH:

sambrArththyAttha thadA thavadIyavachasA prOpthkshipthabAhO thwayi

chithram dEvashashI sa thE karamagAth kim brUmahE sampatha

jjyOthrmandalapUrithAkhilavapu: prAgA virAdrUpathAm

 

kim kim badEdamithi sambhramabhAjaqmEnam

brahmArnnavE kshaNamamum parimajjya thAtham

mAyAm punasthanayamOhamayIm vIthanwa-

nnAnandachinmaya jaganmaya pAhi rOgAth "

 

Friends, unfortunately, my knowledge in computer is very limited. Otherwise , I would have given the above stanzas in SANSKRIT itself.
