Friends,

 

I have senn the write ups of many of you. Here I am giving about THE NEED FOR DEVAPRASNA AND DOSHA PARIHARAM as giiven in " PRASHNA MAARGA.

sAnnidhyApahrudarththalAbhavigamau vAj nAthumithyAdikam

dEvaprashna udIrithOnyadapi thaththadbhaavajAtham phalam "

 

It means Devaprashna is done to know about whether some death unknown has occurred in the temple premises , if there is any defect in POOJA , UTHSAVA ETC . conducted in the temple, whether some enemies have done any CHOORNAADI KARMA ( Black Magic etc.) to withhold the DEVA'S PRESENCE ; whether there is any GAIN OR LOSS to the temple and other defects which have occurred.

 

 

As DOSHA PARIHARAM the following are recommended. Quote :-

 

" dEvInishEvA gananAththahOmA

bhAghyaikamathya prathasUkthajApA:

Apannivarthai dhanadhAnya vrudhyai

gavyAbhishEkAdikmathra shudhyai. "

 

In the above quoted stanza, it is said that to ward off the DOSHA in the temple premises Bhagavathi Seva, Ganapathi Havana , Bhaagya Sooktha, Aikamathya Sooktha, Samvaada Sooktha etc are to be chanted, and to clean the temple premises pancha gavyaAbhishEka etc. are to be performed.

 

Please note that all the PRAYASCHTHTHA as told by the DAIVANJA are to be performed.

 

Now, I shall tell about the LAKSHNAS of DAIVANJA.

 

The DAIVANJA should be well versed in ASTROLOGY, should be truthful, well behaved & gentle ( VINAYI ) and Astronomy. If such qualities are not found in the Daivanja, he is not FIT for making prophesies.

 

I feel such persons are very rare now-a-days.
