[Guruvayur/Guruvayoor] Guruvayoor temple matters- MOBILISE STRENGTH

Dear Sunil and all other members who commented on this subject.

True,we hindus need to mobilise our strength and let the temple

authorities know what the majority's views are. As Sri Balagopal

suggestd, it could be in the form of a uniformly worded statement or

petition.

We should at the same realise that these things are affecting only

the Hindu community and not any other religious community in Kerala.

It is no secret that the Government nationalised and appropriated the

wealth and properties of every major temple in the state without

compensation at all.In addition to that , the revenue generated every

year, by Guruvayoor temple, Shabarimala, and other major temples are

appropriated by the Government to supplement shortfall in state

revenue and not for temple maintanance or development. This is

absurd. Did any one raise a finger ? I don't think so, because we

lack unity and our attitude is : " kaattile maram, Thevarude Aana " .

We are not an organised community and it has never been. History is

proof of that. The foreign invasion, religious convertions etc.

Why does the Government not do the same with the other religious

communities? Because they have an organised administrative set up.

So it is time for us to stand united and fight for this cause.
