Guest guest
" OM NAMO BHAGAVATHE VASUDEVAYA " Friends, In my last E-mail, I had explained about chanting of " NARAYANA " manthra and about the benefits and effects one derives from mere chanting without BHAKTHI, by telling the story of AJAMILA and how he attained VAIKUNTA. Here, I would like to explain the meaning of the word " NARAYAN " . This word can be split into two as NARA + AYANA. As per the Sanskrit dictionary , NARA means ADMI in Hindi and a male or man or Hero or even Husband. AYAN means PLACE OF REFUGE. Sometimes it is also used to mean MIRROR, Hence NARAYAN means THE REFUGE OF NARA OR MAN Or if we take the word to mean MIRROR, it means the reflection of self or NARAYAN together means ones soul's reflection. What a beautiful word is " NARAYANA " . Let us all chant together " OM NAMO NARAYANAYA " Regards to one an all. P.R.RADHAKRISHNAN
