Why SriKrishna Temple and not Vishnu Temple ?

Dear Friends,

 

I have often wondered why the Guruvayoor temple is

associated with the antics of Unni Kannan and is known

more as a Sree Krishna Temple rather than a Vishnu

Temple ?

 

Is this something to do with the vision of Unni Kannan

by Poonthanam ?
