HARI AUM

True. Getting to the stage where everything is

Krishnamayam/Vishnumayam/

Brahmamayam/Chinmayam/Shivamayam/Sakthimayam/...is

what LIFE is all about. The power of MAYA

(ignorance/avidya)sometimes pull one back from

evolving (retrograde). This great religion -Sanatana

Dharma-of our country has room for every state of

mind. Those who figure out that point in one's life,

can move on to the higher levels of evolution

(awareness). The road map is well laid out by our

Bhagavan in his 'gita'. Just let oneself into it.

Dear Seemaji and other friends,

One need not have doubts about the Mahamanthra. Any

name of the Lordis a Mahamanthra. Say " Narasyanaya

Namah " , " OM Namo BhagavateVasudevaya " or " Hare Rama

Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, " etc, or anyother Nama

of the Lord that you like. . Everything is

aMahamanthra. When Sage Garga was requested by

Vasudeva to performthe naming of Lord Krishna, he

told, " To this boy who is theincarnation of the

Supreme, and has thousand or infinite number ofnames,

how can I, a mere mortal, give him " a " name ?

Finally, out ofsheer necessity, he named Him

" KRISHNA " , which is synonymous with " Sat-chit-ananda "

or " Existence-Knowledge-Bliss. "

But Gurus have a right to perform. To the totally

ignorant, Gurushave to instruct chanting a particular

name so that they do not go outof the way. Take the

case of Valmiki who was a totally ignorantperson.

Sage Narada had to instruct him to keep on

repeating " Mara-Mara " so that it automatically becomes

Rama-Rama. Dhruva was achild and wanted to do

penance. But he did not know where to go andwhat to

do for performing penance. Sage Narada had to

instruct him howto go about, and asked him to repeat

the " Dwadasaksharee-manthra " ( theManthra which has 12

syllables) -- " OM NA-MO BHA-GA-VA-THEVA-SU-DE-VA-YA "

So kindly shed all doubts and call the name of God,

the name whicheverappeals to you with ardent Bhakti or

devotion (concentrated love to theLord), and He will

answer your prayers.

Love

KVG.
