Guest guest
Dear All, After killing Hiranyakashipu Nrusimhadevan asked Bhaktha Prahlaada: My child, what boon you want from me? Please ask with out hesitation. With profuse tears of love and devotion He said: Yaa preethiravivaekeenaam vishayeshwanapaayinee Thwaam anusmaratha: saa mae hrudayaanmaapasarpathu Hae! Mahaaprabho! how much love, committment and devotion materialistic people have for their family and possessions ( or in other words, for all materialistic things) , please bless me to have that much love, committment and devotion in my mind towards YOU and please let that never fade. Bhaktha Prahlaada did not have to think too much to give a measure of love and devotion he wanted to have in his mind for Lord because he saw emotion in abundance turned towards other things in everybody around him. When the love and devotion is towards God it is called Bhakthi and when it is directed towards other things, it is called Raagam. Njaanananda Saraswathi says that it is the same emotion, but we have to change the direction towards Him or see Him in everything. Regards and prayers Savitri
