Guest guest
HARI AUM Functionally this stanza (Ch 4 verse 7 of BG)is both good & bad news. The GOOD news is that the wrong will be CORRECTED. The bad news is that it might take a loooooooooooooong (yuge yuge)time. Bhagavan has thus made the rule utterly spoiling us. i.e giving us a too loooooong a rope. It also indicates another principle-the freedom to fail, make mistakes many times over. But ultimately if one doesn't learn 'he' will catch up and 'set things right'. It is a costly affair. Unless one is vigilant and alert one may remain and wallow and continue doing the wrong things. Hence the 'Upanishadic' call 'jagrata'. Regards Balagopal NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA PS:Five classical " states " of awareness are discussed in scripture: 1) wakefulness (jagrat), 2) " dream " (svapna) or astral consciousness, 3) " deep sleep " (sushupti) or subsuperconsciousness, 4) the superconscious state beyond (turiya " fourth " ) and 5) the utterly transcendent state called turiyatita ( " beyond the fourth " ).
