Guest guest
Dear all, I had a lucky opportunity to visit Guruvayur last weekend (16,17 Feb). The temple was crowded with people owing to it being weekend and marriage season. It took us around 1.5-2 hrs for the darshan all three times we had. The queue for 3am darshan had started at 9.30pm the before day itself !! We had a great darshan where the Lord was in Krishnavataram. Few things I observed during my 2nd trip were: - the queue system is changed which is better. - sometimes they had only 1 entry and exit from the door opp prasadam counter. people inside were suffocating. I didnt understand why couldnt they open the other door as exit. - the amount of kalabham in the packet is reduced. - we missed 'Seevely' procession in the night as many devaswom's people gave us wrong info about the timings. like 8pm, 9pm, 9.30pm. - outside the temple they mentioned about " Krishnattam' being performed on that day. but we dont even knew when and where it happend. we were greatly disappointed as none gave proper and uniform answer. I need some feedback about these issues from the group members. Thank you, Murali Krishna Emani +91-98862-58312
Guest guest
Dear Murali ji, The entry and exit to the Nalambalam/Chuttambalam ( the structure around the Sanctum ) was through the Vadakke Nada (North Nada) from 10 th Feb - 17th Feb as Kalasham rituals were going on. Sometimes the exit was through the Madappalli (Temple Kitchen ) on the southern side. Seeveli or rather "Sribali"( Offering to Lord's Celestial attendants) is conducted after Athazha Puja around 8.50 pm - 9.50 pm. Krishnanattam is performed inside the temple -Northern Matilakam ( Courtyard ) after it is closed around midnight. (I don't know the exact time) With prayers, Krishnapriyaemanimurali <emanimurali wrote: Dear all,I had a lucky opportunity to visit Guruvayur last weekend (16,17 Feb). The temple was crowded with people owing to it being weekend andmarriage season.
