Guest guest
HARI AUM About 25 verses in ch 1 are devoted to Arjuna's magnificent exposition of the unethical, immoral, illegal, self destructive, unpatriotic, unbecoming, savage,... sides of the fratricidal war that is to be faced then and there. Arjuna was no ordinary human being. The most skilled archer of his time. Quite learned in matters of virtue and vice and many a worldly matters.A royal prince of great lineage. Widely travelled and had met with many great men-even gods and saints too!!!He just couldn't stomach the war. No way he could be won over to fight. His ambitions are not to be met this way. His aspirations did not match the price he has to pay. He found the whole efforts utterly useless. It is demeaning to fight. No man in his senses could afford to take that next step to fight this war. He threw up his arms in despair. He was sweating profusely. He said his mouth has gone dry. Were his trembling and shivering out of concern for his near and dear ones standing as his arch enemies in front of him grinding their teeth and deadly weapons or was he frightened to his bones seeing the huge army bent upon to bring destruction mindlessly and mercilessly. This he knew in his heart of heart. The enemy was their congenital foes trailing behind every step of theirs since long. Arjuna's words were sounding like that of a wise man but actions were out of tune. Out of despair he even threw down his bow making himself a picture shameful for a combatant. And he expected Krishna to only add to his logic and reasoning since it was full of unrelenting ethics and morality. Instead Krishna said: " WHAT YOU DO, SPEAKS SO LOUD, I CAN'T HEAR, WHAT YOU SAY. " Regards Balagopal PS:let speech match with actions NARAYANA NARAYANA NARAYANA Why delete messages? Unlimited storage is just a click away.
