Guest guest
Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya! Dear Member Devotees, My sincere apologies for the delay in getting in touch with you all after my Guruvayur/India trip. Last few weeks were very busy. We took our one year old daughter to India for the first time, so the long travel (with an infant) made the trip a bit stressful but very special. Apart from that some health problems added more worries to our days and trip. Overall, we had a good trip and visited Guruvayoor and a few other temples. Anytime is great time to be in Guruvayoor but I was real happy to be there during Utsavam season. I prayed for everyone in our group and their families as well. Also prayed for Krishna's blessings for Navaneetham, Koti Naama Japam and all our projects. Guruvayur has changed quite a bit as the Devaswom has acquired more land surrounding the temple and demolished quite a few buildings to make more open space. It feels nice to have some open area around the temple. I was VERY HAPPY AND BLESSED to meet our dear Dr.SAROJA AMMA and Shri. Ramanujamji in Chennai. As I mentioned before it was an overwhelming experience considering their affection and hospitality. My respect and love for Sarojaji has increased ten fold after meeting both of them. We are blessed to have such a respectful and scholarly member in our group. I also met another great devotee of Guruvayoorappan. Smt. Savitriji is a new member in our group and lives in Texas. She came all the way to be there during Guruvayoor Utsavam! It was really blissful blessing to meet such true devotees of Krishna and realize about their utmost Bhakthi! Savitriji is originally from the famous Olappamanna illam and daughter of Shri. O M C Narayanan Namboodiripad, who traslated Rig Vedam to Malayalam! Please welcome such a distinguished member to our group. I could not meet many others due to my tight schedule and considering our one year old daughter, who fell ill for almost 10 days during the trip. My sincere apologies to our Bangalore members whom I was longing to meet again. I also could not meet Induji whom I was wishing to meet as well. Another highlight of the trip was visiting Haridwar for the first time. We did not plan to be there but it was mandated by our pandit after explaining the bad planetary positions according to both our horoscopes. That explained the reasons for our stress and illnesses etc. Praying for Guruvayoorappan's blessings to lessen the difficulties in the coming months and years. Haridwar is in Uttaranchal state and it is the gateway to some of the most sacred places of Hinduism like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangothri and Yamunothri. Taking a dip in Ganga was a special experience indeed. I have created a Temple travelogue/Pilgrimage blog with photos and more about my trip, please see the folliwng ULR for the same... http://mammiyoor.blogspot.com/ Photos of the trip can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/guruvayoor/sets/72157602267800197/ Please let me know if you have any questions. Guest guest
HARI AUMThank you Sunilji for the very informative mail.I had gone through the links provided there in and it was very interesting even for those who had been to Guruvayur many times. It is really GREAT to have a Darsan of Guruvayurappan, even the nth time, and it is all the more GREAT to share that blissful experience with other fellow devotees through photos and write-ups like this. Also, this TEMPLE TRAVELOUGE demonstrate how great a FAMILY the GRUVAYUR GROUP had become! To feel that free with fellow devotees irrespective from which part of the globe there are now from is something ???... I don't have words! Thank you very much for giving the invaluable information about some other fellow devotees like Savitriji. Of course, Savitriji, Induji and Dr. Saroja Ramanujam are by now known to me (like many other members of this Group) through their postings in the Guruvayur Group and I was immensely benefited by Dr. Sarojaji’s explanations to some of my specific queries, like “Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu†Dear Sunilji you have added an entirely new dimension to our esteemed Guruvayur Group. Go ahead! God Bless You With warm regards, nb nair.
