Guest guest
Hari OM! Dear Ones Guruvayur Sree Krishna temple has received Rs 2.47 crore as cash offerings from devotees since March one, according to Devaswom. Besides, five Kg of gold and 10 kg of silver had been offered by devotees during the period. The cash boxes of the temple to which devotees make the offerings were opened and counted yesterday. Foot Note: The next question which every Hindu should ask Devaswom board is: What are they planning to do with this money. They should also provide full details as to, on what types of activities the money is being spent. They should make available information for every year as to what the income is and what the expenses are and what they do with the leftover funds.??? With Love & OM! Guest guest
HARI AUMIt is absolutely necessary that there should be complete transparency in thetemple accounts The devotees should knowwhere their offerings had finally gone and what good it has done for the templeand the people. Also it is the unaccountedmoney that forms the source for most of the anti-social activities insociety. Temples of worship should not become thesource of money for the evils in society, including the undue benefits being doled out to anti-temple elements and groups .Apart from periodical auditing the details should be madeavailable on the concerned website so that the devotees from all over the globe should be able to see it.Regards,nb nair. Guest guest
This is a very relevant and important matter. Guruvayoor temple provides the lion's share of the State govt.'s revenue budjet. This money is not spent for temple welfare but for the welfare of individual office holders. 90% of the maintainance, renovations and other facilities are met by wealthy devotees through private donations and offerings. This is in addition to the two - plus crore hundi collection. It is public money and the public has the right to have access to the audited income and expenditure accounts in complete details. The auditors should be appointed by the Central Government. ONe way to rally support is by bringing this matter to the Media attention by way of a group signed petition. Guest guest
Dear Friends,The only way out is that the devotees must have control of the Temple and Temple income. Not the atheist politicians. If they don't believe in our culture and spirituality they should not have any thing to do with the Temple. That is the only way. When will our people will understand this and fight for that control?Thanksadidaiveekam <no_reply > wrote: Hari OM!
