Guest guest
Dear All, I really liked this advice from Upanishadic teachings. It may not be true for everybody, there may be exceptions. It is a good advice to keep well connected with God because all other connections can become meaningless in one second. Let God bless all of us to remain well connected with Him and his devotees! Regards and prayers Savitri Samsaram SUKHAMAYAM Samsaram DHUKHAMAYAM Samsaram KHAMAYAM A young couple soon after marriage says: Samsaram SUKHAMAYAM - Life is filled with happiness. After several years, They say: Samsaram DHUKHAMAYAM- Life is full of sorrows The same couple when they become old say: Samsaram KHAMAYAM- KHAM in Sanskrit means sky, which is empty. So " khamayam means - life is filled with emptiness. Or in other words, they start understanding that nothing is eternal and this world is not real and they are lost in depression. To avoid these sorrows and depression in the later years, our scriptures prescribe to lead a life with God in the center and and working around him, not away from Him. When we get older, because of the strong bond we built in years, God attracts us more and more towards the center and eventually we fall at His feet and attain moksham instead of falling at the feet of ordinary people like us who cannot protect or save us. Scriptures tell us to slowly direct all our attachments towards Him. Attachment is not bad when it is directed towards Him. Then it is a source of bliss and not a source of sorrow.
