Guest guest
Dear All, It was interesting to learn the difference in the meaning of the two words Jnanam and Vijnanam. Even though both words means knowledge, there is a difference in the meaning. In one context, their meanings are explained as given below: Regards and prayers Savitri Jnanam: - Jnanam shastrata: -Jnanam means knowledge about the Self derived from the scriptures (Shastras) and one's teacher [intellectual knowledge]. Vijnanam :- Vijnanam viseshatah tadanubhava:---Vijnanam means the realisation as an ACTUAL EXPERIENCE of that intellectual knowledge derived from the scriptures and Guru, the realisation in the form 'I am Brahman'
