Guest guest
Hare Krishna All! A Pure Devotee of Krishna is such that there is no trace of hankering in that person. The only hankering s/he has is to serve Krishna. This is very beautifully stated by Lord Kapiladeva, when He mentions: { Salokya Samipya Sarshti Sarupyam Aiktvam Api Uta Diyamaanam Na Ghrnanti Vina Mat Sevanam Janaah " A pure devotee does not accept any kind of liberation -- salokya, sarshti, samipya, sarupya or ekatva -- even though they are offered by the Supreme Personality of Godhead." - SB 3.29.13 - http://vedabase.net/sb/3/29/13/en1 } What to speak of fruitive activities then, which binds one to the cycle of birth and death. This is also very beautifully mentioned by Srila Naarada Muni when he says: { Naishkarmyam Api Achyuta Bhaava Varjitam, Na Shobhate Jnanam Alam Niranjanam, Kutah Punah Shaashvat Abhadram Ishvare, Na Cha Arpitam Karma Yad Api Akaaranam."Knowledge of self-realization, even though free from all materialaffinity, does not look well if devoid of a conception of theInfallible [God]. What, then, is the use of fruitive activities, whichare naturally painful from the very beginning and transient by nature,if they are not utilized for the devotional service of the Lord?" - SB1.5.12 - http://srimadbhagavatam.com/1/5/12/en } Hare Krishna!
